There will be four spring historical walking tours open to the public. Since our focus is on people, these tours are about the families that made homes of these great houses. All tours are a loop so you only need to park once.
April 15th Open Walking Tour
Spring Street and Union Avenue
See the homes of Saratoga’s merchants and the mansions of the summer people. This tour includes the home of one President’s daughter.

This tour is of the homes of Saratoga’s merchants and professionals.

Oldest Saratoga
Franklin Street, Franklin Square, Broadway (downtown)
Prior to the Civil War, Saratoga’s most politically powerful families lived in the house in and near Franklin Square. In one house when the father died he left a widow and three daughters. Although two of the daughters would marry, none of the women ever lived in any other house!

North Broadway
Probably Saratoga’s most famous neighborhood, North Broadway is known for the large homes; however, some of the families that lived there had stories that dwarfed the homes they built!
There are 11 former homes between our starting point and what is traditionally thought of as North Broadway you wouldn’t want to miss them!

Mothers’ Day Tea with Mrs. Batcheller (2 starting times)
May 9th Batcheller Mansion
Have you ever wanted to tour the Batcheller Mansion or attend a Victorian Tea? Here is an opportunity to do both. Mr. Batcheller will provide a tour of his fine mansion followed by a proper tea with Mrs. Batcheller. This is something really special and unique to do with your mother on her day.
